Dobos Torte

Dobos torte is a Hungarian sponge cake layered with chocolate buttercream and topped with caramel. The round sides of the cake are coated with ground hazelnuts, chestnuts, walnuts, or almonds.

Gulyás (Goulash)

Goulash is one of the most famous dishes from the Hungarian cuisine. It is made with beef (occasionally veal or pork), onions, potato, carrot and paprika.


Lángos is a Hungarian food speciality, a deep fried dough. The dough for lángos is made of water or milk and flour, yeast, sugar and salt. It is eaten fresh and warm, topped with sour cream, grated cheese, garlic sauce even ham or sausages.

It is made from sweet yeast dough and coated in plenty of sugar. Before serving they're usually dusted with toppings like cinnamon or ground walnuts. They're especially popular during the festive season and Christmas markets.

The traditional töltött káposzta is made from pickled cabbage leaves, filled with minced pork meat and rice. It often contains paprika and is served with sour cream on top.
